The smell of germaline is my favourite ever smell and reminds me of my mum using it when I was little!

Smell is the sense that evokes the strongest memories I think.

I can never smell cigars without thinking of Christmas or daffodils without feeling a deep security and happiness.

Rubbers (or erasers to use the correct term)

I used fo collect the smelly ones as a kid and very rarely I'll smell something that transports me internally (it's almost like I'm falling, you know how your tummy flips? A bit like a panic but not quite, like I'm lost almost. Yeah that's it, a momentary anxiety like I've lost my parents as a child)

Anyway, I haven't yet found the source to the smell, it's generally fleeting and a waft.

I get it all the time ,lavender reminds me of my Nan who grew lots of it and used to make little bags of it to put into Drawers etc , the word is Madeleine, when a smell reminds you of something from the past , learnt that from QI
