I've had more conversations with nice women than with nice men, but I put that down to sex being off the table with the women.
It's pointless a woman messaging me with "nice tits luv, wanna fuk?" so they tend to be messaging me to say something particular and the message is consequently more engaging, prompting a conversation where I can get to know them.
I wouldn't suggest they are nicer as a rule - just for me the different agenda changes the dynamic.
I've had some lovely conversations with nice men too, btw. They are just outnumbered by the FAF white noise. |

The reason I'm bringing this up is because people are always under the impression that because guts outnumber women, then women should be the ones calling the shots.
As someone deeply opposed to all forms of prejudice and discrimination, the idea that men are a second class sex on here (or at least they should act like such) really is the most off putting trait that I come across frequently. If a women isn't prepared to make exactly the same effort as a man when it comes to messaging, general conversation or for a meet, then I walk on by, glad in the knowledge that I've dodged a bullet.
Also, I don't expect people just to agree with me, this is after all, a discussion not a dictatorship. No matter how many white knights come out to say it is. |

I would disagree, I would say simply men are far more upfront then woman, it's that that either one of us is nicer, just that men don't feel a need to pretend or hide it like a woman would so you see it more |

I'm not convinced that women outnumber men on this site when it comes down to people that anyone wants to spend any time with. Yes there's a huge numbers of keyboard wankers coming and going but if these aren't even in the running as far as people's choices are concerned, then I think there's maybe a 50/50 split between the sexes.
The old 15 guys to every woman trope falls away if you dismiss the 14 guys nobody would even look twice at.
In my own personal experience I will talk to 15 guys with manners, mutual respect and no over inflated sense of self importance for every woman on here who I speak to with the same qualities.

It also doesn't mean that there isn't many women, it might just mean that they know that men will pander to them so they don't bother investing the effort, giving an inflated sense of entitlement as well as an over inflated ego.

Just to clarify what you've said....
If (for example) there are 16 men to every woman on here and 75% of the men are arse holes but the other 25% are decent blokes, then decent blokes would outnumber women (not just decent women) by 4 to 1. The figure would be even higher if you eliminated those women who were also arseholes.

Unless you assume that women are less likely to be arse holes (which I don't think you are) then the ratios remain roughly the same

Yes there's a huge numbers of keyboard wankers coming and going but if these aren't even in the running as far as people's choices are concerned, then I think there's maybe a 50/50 split between the sexes.
The old 15 guys to every woman trope falls away if you dismiss the 14 guys nobody would even look twice at.
In my own personal experience I will talk to 15 guys with manners, mutual respect and no over inflated sense of self importance for every woman on here who I speak to with the same qualities.
I really don't witness the reported reality others seem to accept without question.
When we've put up a meet for the next day , we've had more than a hundred messages. Even if 3/4 of them are time wasters, we've still got loads to choose from.
Put up a meet as a single guy avd you'll be lucky if you get one message.
Thats not my personal experience. But even so, that has nothing to do with describing how many of those potential meets are people you'd even want to meet. It also doesn't mean that there isn't many women, it might just mean that they know that men will pander to them so they don't bother investing the effort, giving an inflated sense of entitlement as well as an over inflated ego.

I find "nice" is not a characteristic I can trust in either sex. Nice can be a way in acting to get something you want. That's my opinion. But I love, love, love a "Nice" biscuit especially one's with the cream in the middle. Yummy  |

"The reason I'm bringing this up is because people are always under the impression that because guts outnumber women, then women should be the ones calling the shots.
As someone deeply opposed to all forms of prejudice and discrimination, the idea that men are a second class sex on here (or at least they should act like such) really is the most off putting trait that I come across frequently. If a women isn't prepared to make exactly the same effort as a man when it comes to messaging, general conversation or for a meet, then I walk on by, glad in the knowledge that I've dodged a bullet.
