I was recently chatting with someone and I told her that I liked what she wrote in her profile.. Then she replied "which part?"
And I told her, then she blocked me  Lol.
What are your reasons for getting blocked and blocking fab users? |

I have many reasons for blocking.... some people can be incredibly tiresome and up their own arse! ( because they can’t get up anyone else’s!) |

If I appear to be on their carousel and they contact me after I've already turned them down twice before.
If they've clearly not read my profile.

Someone messaged me and sent a dick pic
Someone appeared on my nearby list and I didn’t like their face
I block for any petty reason that I want. Or not so petty reason. |

I only look at profiles if someone messages me - I check it before I open the message
If having seen their profile I decide I wouldn’t want to meet them I block the person and delete the message unread
Gone are the days where I reply politely and thank the person for the message but say I’m not interested - there are some seriously abusive tw@ts on here who can’t handle rejection
Sadly there’s too many men on here of the opinion that all women should drop their knickers and spread their legs for them regardless of what they look or behave like |

Ok.. without sounding like a prude... I block people who are persistently filthy.... disgustingly so. It's just not necessary...
Also I block when people jist dont seem to recognise a no thank you ... or turn abusive when you decline their advances.

If I have been blocked, then obviously I've no idea why. I know that one who was quite local did block me, I'm assuming it was because maybe she knew me and wanted to stay anonymous.
I have blocked many simply because they weren't interested, to avoid contacting them again in future, and I blocked one couple because I didn't like their pissy attitude on the forums. |

I’ll block people when I see constant updates repetitive or if they’re just strange statuses..
If I see a woman is only after bi men for instance - there’s no point me having her/seeing her profile as our paths will never cross. |

I've blocked local people who I find disgusting to look at and I dont want to see their updates in my local area. I've never fallen out with anyone to want to block them. Maybe I've been blocked from some but I wouldn't know and particularly care. |

If they don't meet my criteria and I don't meet theirs then we can't message anyway so I do it so as I don't see their updates and be tempted to keep checking them out. Also they might be annoying or ignorant which is also block worthy. I reckon I've been blocked for the same reasons and probably others as well lol |

I block all profiles within 35 miles in whom I have no interest or who have no interest in me
Ends up being approx 7 to 15 daily  |

I'm not much of a blocker but I do have a couple blocked who I know are using all fake pictures, a couple I just wanted peace from and a few who pissed me off with statuses either moaning constantly or slagging off other women. |

Most common reason for blocking for us is that they have sent us messages when they are nothing like what we have in the ‘looking for’ box. Can’t be bothered to fully read our profile says they have little care about what we want. |

As for fab I’ve blocked guys that repeatedly message me even after I’ve told them no thank you. I’ll counter block if I happen to click a profile from the forums and see that they’ve blocked me.
I’ll block if someone is geographically too close to me, like my village kind of close. |

I have blocked several users lately due to the same men messaging me like 10 times a day and I just got bored of seeing the same repeated messages and that was without me even saying a word ^.^ Don't know why men do this, when it's a clear no X |

Yep. I'd agree with that. We all have our reasons and there may be different reasons for blocking one person than you might have for blocking another but ultimately, that's our business and we are not required to explain our reasons to anybody |

The local feed is just a catch-all so as well as blocking anyone who is being a bellend I'll block people who I don't want in my local feed, either because they're annoying, not what I'm looking for or I'm not what they're looking for. Just makes fabs a more pleasant experience.
Oh, and anyone with a variant of "If you can't handle me at my worst" on their profile or in a status. Instablock |

Personally I dont like using the block button and only use it when someone is very offensive. Asking for very bizarre things in a first message is simply ignored by me but excessive messages after being ignored or even if I've replied back politely that I'm not interested. That will get you blocked. |

As has been stated often on this thread, they may know that you are not compatible; blocking isn't necessarily negative, just a way of tailoring the fab experience to your own needs. |

With personal messages i block anyone i have turned down.
Sometimes i block locals because i have no interest.

This. Blocking isn't rude any more than not fucking someone you don't like is. It's just making life easier for you and them.
Blocking isn't the same as reporting or calling someone out. It's purely a you thing. |

If they're abusive in any way.
If they persist in messaging after a polite "no thanks" & won't take no for an answer.
If they totally don't match what I'm looking for.
If there is something about their profile or forum posts that makes it clear that they really aren't someone I want any contact with.
There are lots of reasons why I may press the block button.
It helps improve my fab experience if I block people who I know I am never going to want to meet & prevent them messaging me.
When I first joined I didn't block, I've learned that actually it is sometimes necessary. |
