I'm just preparing one ;
1.Thick white (doorstop) bread.
2.Butter.
3.Smoked bacon without fat trimmed.
4.Heinz Tomato Sauce.
Is there any other way of preparing such a delicacy!?
Surely not! |

"People who have sauce on bacon should be banned.
There isn't a sauce in existence that makes bacon taste better "
I have to agree..sauce just kills it for me x |

Yes to trimmed smoked bacon, thick cut for extra meatiness *plus* a bit of smoked streaky where the fat has turned to delicious crunchy crispness, so you get a contrast of textures.
No ketchup - ever - but barbecue sauce or even piccalilli sauce

Half a Horseshoe Gammon steak, grilled, lightly toasted oven bottom cake, buttered. Over easy fresh egg with HP or that gentleman’s relish from Sheffield who name I cannot remember.
With Yorkshire tea.
Damn I’m hungry.

Not fussed which sauce as I like tomato and HP.
The added fried egg is a nice touch though."

Thick cut slices of freshly baked white crusty bread, best back bacon from a proper butcher (none of the pre-packed crap)
Fry the bacon until fat goes borderline crispy.
Dip inner sides of bread in frying pan.
Make your sarnie, do not add anything else, especially disgusting sauces of any type.
Bucket of tea strong enough to stand spoon up in.
Eat, drink, enjoy. |

Canadian bacon, French baguette and English mustard. My friend told me this was a "crunch and punch" - the baguette crunches and the mustard punches you up the nose |

Don't forget to drizzle the bacon fat from the frying pan over the whole sandwich for that extra heart attack. Only eat one about twice a year but when I do it is the whole pack squished in there. |

Unsmoked bacon and no butter for me.
The sauce is sometimes brown not red but most of the time I have English mustard |

Cut all the fat off the bacon first, fry that until its starting to crisp, then add the lean meat. Fry on a high heat, then move everything to the outer parts of the pan to make room for the slice of bread you are going to fry. Eat the bacon on the sandwich style of your choosing but the fried bread should be eaten while still really hot, with a bit of salt and pepper. |
