I would inform your bank etc of your change of address, do meter readings as soon as you move in and connect up to new utilities service providers.

Then probably pop the kettle on.

Take a visit to Winchester - wander round the cathedral, the green and the back streets, pop into The Old Vine for really good wine and The Eclipse Inn for a pint in the tiniest pub in Hampshire.

Avoid Porterhouse like the plague (one of many things you'd probably catch just by walking in).

Also, take a little road trip to Easton to The Chestnut Horse for the best Sunday roast I ever found in the county, enjoy a walk through the village and through the estate and grounds of the big stately home there. Take a selfie with the Highland cattle.
