Just watched this for the 947th time and yet again I'm an emotional wreck....can never resist when I see it's on and always promise mesel I won't cry at the end.....tears will dry up soon

Not seen it this often but totally agree. Happen to like John Thaw in all his roles anyway. Great actor and great film

The book is amazing. The film is a proper tear jerker.. For a male i am quite a softy really. I have cried at loads of films.
