It was cancelled for foot & mouth. It will get shelved soon if the figures keep rising. Yet oddly people say they will still come over despite the lack of racing! Why puzzles me greatly. If the main event isn't going ahead, there's nowt else here to do. But yes as it stands, still going ahead but being monitored daily. |

Half the flights just went poof with the death of flybe. Airport is desolate for lots of the day now. There is talk of a fledgling local firm called Ettyl stepping in for TT but I suspect they have no aircraft & no slots in the UK so whether it works or not will have to be seen. Loganair is not stepping in here. |

Further to this, anyone arriving on the island from tomorrow night will automatically have to go into 14 days self isolation, even returning locals. There is no point anyone still trying to come here for the TT period as you won't be allowed out anyway. |

It was inevitable. We only have 8 ITU beds in total & if the virus gets here we'd be overwhelmed in no time, far worse than the UK percentage wise with our elderly population. Touch wood we have no positive cases so far & hopefully this will ensure it stays very low or non existent, although in truth it may already be here & nobody knows. Fingers crossed. With elderly parents I personally feel mighty relieved tonight. |
