North Bucks

It’s interesting that they blame the C word and how it’s had such an impact on business in such a short time.

Never used the brand but a real shame. Hope another carrier takes them on

Masked and Distant

Flown with them a few times, regional flights are using old knackered planes bought 2nd hand from other companies.

Real shame though as they provide a much needed service, flights were always full.

couple, us we him her.

Feel sorry for all the staff concerned.

However I had tried booking with them a few times Southampton to Aberdeen and the flights every time I looked where ridiculously expensive like £600 return for two adults.

Cheaper to drive to Heathrow pay parking flights with BA and still saved about£300+

I find it incredibly odd that you can easily fly to anywhere in the world but trying to get a direct flight from one end of the country to the other can be amazingly difficult.

Once from Southampton to Aberdeen two stops one in Manchester then Amsterdam!!!!

Wtf

I used to fly with them to the Shetland Islands from Manchester for upwards of £600 return. Now it's Logan air and they have the monopoly.

We can all moan about the Irish fecker but his operating business model works and is profitable.

Sad for the employees though.

Booking agent, so far spent 6 seperate hours trying to get through and keep getting cut off. Had to buy new flights for now, nightmare as not ideal flight times.

You are likely to be in a better position to get money back than those who booked directly with Flybe

the tax payer never did.... that was part of the issue...

corona was just the last straw... people basically stopped buying tickets for flights so their cashflow ran out....

but flybe has inherant disadvantages ... the weakness of the pound made fuel in effect higher to buy

... the fact that on domestic journies in effect that had to pay air passenger duty on both ends.... 26 pounds each end before you even think about anything else.....

the business model wasn't great

and so on and so on......

cardiff

I think Cardiff airport is still state owned. It will be interesting to see what action they take to fill the Flybe gap.

Incidentally, I'm one of those caught up in this as I'd booked flights to Dublin in July.

Had a text from Barclaycard this afternoon acknowledging I'd bought tickets with my card and directing me to their website so I'm assuming I might get my money back. That being the case, I wonder why they don't just automatically refund?

couple, us we him her.

Guy on radio this morning was saying that Flybe business model was absolutely pants overinvestment in plane's and no flights for them.

Is there not justification for a government owned airline that doesn't charge itself tax etc to run flights within the UK to allow easy movement particularly people who live on islands like Shetland etc..
