It needs to have 60% alcohol to be effective apparently. Vodka is better but if they think I’m wasting that..... |

"Am I the only one that isn't panic buying yet?! I don't want to get left behind with nothing?"
I purchased a bread machine, hence looking at the flour shelves.
Can’t live without freshly baked bread and fresh pasta |

I'm going to the supermarket now and I'm going to buy lots of flour if they've got any. I know how to and I can make bread, pasta and others. I'm also going to get a whole box of something I won't disclose here. It's edible and last long time.

Purchased mine from builder depot a couple of weeks age, but recent information is say mask will not stop people from catching it but assist in spreading it |

Not necessarily about panic buying alone. It's tough getting ingredients out of China and Italy right now, port health are also holding more containers up than usual, certain commodities are in relatively short supply in the UK.
But yes, panic buying is a part of that too. |

It's highlighting that modern businesses carry little stock..
Money tied up in stock is money tied up..
At home I carry stock but rotate.. little waste and comforting in times of shortage

Why should they? It's a protective measure. They cannot buy things that are not education specific |

Of course they are. I'm sure fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products aren't educational. |

"You can make your own gel from aloe vera gel and vodka, easy

True but you only need a tiny bit of vodka, the aloe is good for your skin anyway and it's better than having nothing if you can't get it |

I make to alcohol sprays daily to santitize a lab. For it to be affective we use neat alcohol ie 100% proof and dilute it to ~70%. Vodka to start with is diluted to ~40%. So it would be impossible to add it to make it effective by adding a small amount to a gel unfortunately. You could if you bought rubbing alcohol. |

If your looking to avoid contracting this bloody virus thing. Try whiskey. Bathe in it externally and internally.
As for the panic buying of food , face masks and sanitizer
The face masks don’t work other than to stop you spraying mucus and other bodily fluids all over others
The sanitizer only works on 99.9% of bacteria, the 0.01% is corona
Best thing for everyone to do is just carry on as normal. Because if your going to get it your going to get it. |

C works In A large supermarket and they have been hammered for anti bacterial hand wash. Sad thing is people are already trying to price hike it and it’s only the stuff with atleast 60% alcohol that is effective against the virus that shall not be named. |

I did my usual Tesco shop last night online and can not get delivery until Friday evening.
Usually there would be loads of slots available next day so it seems there is either a shortage of drivers or people are upping their shopping.
Couldn’t get my favourite hand wash either. |

Only thing it'll do is stop you from passing it from your hand to your mouth. So technically it can help, also if you sneeze it'll stop you spreading it, well spreading it to others |
