Yep- I have one and a very badger bristle brush, works out a lot cheaper and the shave is awesome.
Be bloody careful as you absolutely cannot rush like a Mach type razor. |

Same as above. I've had bumpy skin for years and tried using those double edged razors and was literally soaked in blood, so unfortunately even if it is environmentally friendly I can't use them.
Benefits of having a beard is the now I can keep a razor for longer as I just use it for shaping keeping my beard looking tidy so I go through less razors |

Yes, double edge (safety) razors, straight razors and shavettes. Badger bristle bush and quality shaving soap.
If you have to shave might as well make it as pleasant as possible. Once you get used to it I don’t think it takes much longer than with a cartridge razor. Plus, smoother shave and less irritation to skin.

I use mach 3 or the fusion when travelling but when at home with plenty of time to spare a get the cut throat out. . . First few times the bathroom resembled a butcher's floor. Persevered and amazed now at just how close a shave can get, skin as smooth as glass afterwards . |

I used a straight razor before I had a beard, as it was just a much more satisfying, cleaner feeling shave.
Now I use disposable razors, though. If the beard goes, I’ll return to the trusty Dovo |
