A great classic film, not a happy film as such, however, the acting from the two leads are superb!

Not sure if I can stay up to watch it in its entirety as I am knackered after a long and busy day without my usual kip in the afternoon.

If you've got Sky+ or Virgin record it...and yes, it's a classic, might well record it myself. Ta for the heads up.

I always wondered what Papillon and Cool Hand Luke would have been like if Steve McQueen and Paul Newman had swapped characters.

The book was amazing the film not as good but they never get quite the same depth. The acting however by mcqueen and hoffman was excellent. I always watch this film when its on. Although I'm led to believe that the whole story was just fictitious

But still a great a story

Oh balls, I missed this!

Never seen it all the way through for one reason or another, and always wanted to, a fantastic film with a stellar cast.

Gonna go hunting to see if I can find it somewhere on TV or t'interwebby!!!
