No Traffic Wardens here for a year or two now.
The parkings down to common sense,if anyone parks anywhere really stupidly and takes the piss the police give 'em a ticket.
It shows we don't need the buggers round here!

I remember having to pick up my fathers death certificate on the day my parents were meant to be moving house.
Despite his sudden death,I still had to flit my mother on that day as planned. I left the furniture van outside the doctors while I nipped in to get the certificate.
I was in for less than 5 mins and when I came out there was a feckin Traffic Vulture writing a ticket.
I went straight to the Police Station with it,told the Desk Sargeant what had happened and described the warden.
He said he knew who I meant and said he was a "right c**t!".
He then directed me to the head warden, who he said he'd phone on the internal to explain about me.
When I got to the head man he was just putting the phone down,he told me to leave the ticket with him and that was that!
Just shows that even the cop's hate the feckers!

if you think b/pool is bad for night warden's you should try london, they work shifts there and on change over a second ticket can be issued if the first is more than 30 minutes old, i've heard of people collecting over £ 200 worth of tickests in a night |

Westminster is the worse!!!
They even await early near the slot machines - and if you are even a minute late they book you.
I finished work late one morning as dealing with an emergency, and ran out - in my uniform covered in blood at 8.31 - and he saw me coming, quickly as ever typed in my reg in the machine and slapped the ticket on the car, FFS - how i didnt slap him up the head i will never know - prob cos i was in uniform.
Wrote a complaint - and the bastards had a cheek to say blah blah usual waffle, then finish the letter off with
"perhaps next time you have an emergency come in and you will finish late you will consider moving your car or putting some money in the machine"
Of course thats the FIRST thing i think about when we have arteries bleeding all over the shop!!!
Wanker - should have sent letter into the metro!!!! |

I bet that every traffic warden wishes he had a pound for all the lame excuses they have heard with regards to folk who park illegally.
Now imagine if every driver in the UK parked legally, do you think we would need them |

Yep - cos there arent enough parking spaces for everyone- thats why people DO park illegally.
Well apart from those that steal disabled/baby spaces - even as a childless person it angers me when i see that |

the cameras are places on ajacent buildings, where the can monitor traffic flow and parking so are duel purpose, its also rummoured that the police and emergency service's will soon have remote's to control traffic lights so as to stop cross flow traffic at lights in a chase or on a call out too |
