A woman has gone blind after having her eyeballs tattooed black.
The tattoo artist is now facing jail time.

Seems to popular with all the people who are body modifications.
I seen am article last week about a lady who got her eyeballs tattooed blue. Her eyesight came back 2 weeks later |

Devils advocate but that went wrong because the wrong ink was used.
Eyeball tattoos have been done successfully. I'm not promoting them at all, or saying there are zero risks if done right. Any procedure like that has risk, the more complex the higher the risk, but her expectation was solid based on previous procedures. |

Apparently this is called scleral tattooing and looks weirder that some of the fantasies I've read on this site. The idea seems insane to me. I can't imagine letting anybody mess with my eyes like that. 
The tattooist is said to have used ink for skin that should not come into contact with eyes. If he messed up it's obvious terrible, but I can't help wondering what on earth this woman was thinking to get it done. I don't know how much research she did to find somebody qualified to do the job. |

Imagine getting your eyeballs tattooed though? I had a metal splinter stuck in mine once that had to be dug out in A&E, that was bad enough  "
Had that several times; drill turnings, welding slag, etc. You used to get treated great at hospital (I knew the nurse from school). Always had a follow on appointment a couple of days after to check you'd healed okay too. Oh the great NHS.
I digress from the tatts in the eyes. I saw it some time ago. Wasn't she obcesed with having all her body covered? And the sight loss was just going to be temporary? Maybe that's a different one. Poor girl. |

Ffs leave her alone! She was colour blind and they thought if they tattooed colour into her eye she’d be able to see colour
