That's odd because I was having a similar conversation with a mate today (suppose it has to happen with the amount of threads in here, repeated or not, lol).
Its funny because he's shit scared of dying, he can't cope with the concept that once he's gone then that's it. It really freaks him out and anytime we talk about it he gets the shivers and has to end the conversation.
...and no, as nice an idea as it is, I don't believe.

I am defo not gonna be str8 tho.... feck that, .... I need to coordinate robes with wings with halo ..... and dinna want color clashes...

I'm not a believer in heaven, clouds, wings and St Peter, that's just made up bollox to keep the masses in line while they're alive. What happens to our 'soul' when we die? Dunno, but whatever it is it's not of this universe and as I don't remember anything from before I was born it's logical to assume that I didn't exist in any universe so I guess that's what I'll go back to. Is ignorance truly bliss? Who's to know.
The thing about death is that it's the ultimate experience - one you won't forget but then you won't be conscious of it to remember anyway. |

Before I lost someone close i would have said I was a sceptic...but now I hope one day I will meet those people again.
Maybe as Honey says that is what gives people comfort, if it works it's ok with me. |
