War is fun I have been. You get to shoot people run around with guns and shit yourselves all at the same time. You spend weeks sitting on your bum doing nothing but fixing you gear cleaning your rifle and enjoying the sun. And then all shit happens training takes over and if you lucky you go home alive
But I was young and it was exciting |

I never got to Bosnia.
But Northern Ireland was fun home nearly every day and going to the pub and football over the weekend. And take the piss out of your UDR RUC mate's. And being paid for |

"I’d imagine it’s good for our army as they’ll get better kit or more funding, also speeds up development of new and better armour along with more advanced ammunition to defeat it ? Just a thought "
I agree
Let’s not forget the advances in medicine. Due to the injuries sustained in combat by the troops the medical profession has developed to deal with the horrific injuries. These new methods are in turn being used in our hospitals to keep victims of terrorist attacks alive. |
