Serendipity

Usually marmalade or marmite, with butter.

Seeded bread makes the best toast.

.

Proper butter with lemon curd or cherry jam . But the toast has to be cooled down to the right amount before you apply the butter otherwise it is disgusting.

Butter and marmalade.

Golden Shred is too sweet so I go for Frank Cooper’s Original Oxford marmalade which is nice and tangy.

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

Yesterday, unconventionally, it was peanut butter.

Depends how much time I have -

Lashings of hot melted butter and 2 poached eggs.

Or thin shred marmalade.

Or both. Just not in the same piece of toast

Definitely with you on the lemon curd and cherry jam, especially morello or black cherry..yummy, they are my favourites but like my toast hot

There and to the left a bit

Just butter (or to be more precise Clover spreadable) applied as soon as the toast pops out of the toaster so it melts into the toast

I'll occasionally add marmalade or jam, but dripping with just butter is perfect

I'll pop the kettle on and join you for a slice, sounds perfect

Crunchy peanut butter and poached eggs ontop. With a bit of sriracha sauce. Strange combo but very nice.
