Depends if it's a first date or a follow-up date. First date I would say drinks with somewhere with entertainment.
Bowling can be a fun first date as you get to see the other person's personality, no awkward silences either as you have distraction. Add drinks to that so it's tipsy bowling and it becomes very fun |

Depends on who she is, something exiting like laser quest, trampoline park or go karting.
Or nice meal and drinks, theatre or cinema.
First date is about finding out about each ofher and the levels of fun.
Or you could just ask her. |

"You're going on a date on a Monday evening, for argument sake, it starts at 7.
Men, what's your ideas?
Women, what would you fancy doing?"
Ask what they havent done before, find something we both havent done and do that. |

If its a proper date id assume we would of been getting to know each other befored hand. i expect the guy to have been listening to what id been chatting about so he would get to know my likes and plan a first meet to be something id enjoy. I would not want to go for a meal or cinema id be wanting someone with a bit more imagination.
I played this game with one of my friends and asked him where he would take me and he came up with going to stonehenge which i thought was great |

I like this idea if you been chatting a while would know what they into. Love the idea of going bowling, if during the day a trip to the zoo either |

Whitley Bay |
My sofa for wine, tunes and chats. Cook some food together.
Or
A cosy quirky bar/cafe type place with comfy sitty area and good vibes. Then a look at the sea/river if you've got one nearby. |

It does definitely depend on the girl, you're better coming up with an idea together. I wouldn't fancy being surprised with some of these suggestions, although I know some of my friends would love them! It's a gamble that could go either way trying something a bit different. |

Day at the seaside, Dolphin watching boat trip, hire a beach hut for the day as a base, fish n chips, crabbing, knickerbocker glorys, arcades, back to the hut for prosecco and a takeaway Indian or Chinese on the beachhut porch while watching the sun sink into the sea under a big blanket |

Perhaps I'm a bit dull, but on a first date I just want to be able to talk, usually over a drink, and figure out if there's an attraction and we're compatible. All the more adventurous stuff can wait for the next dates.
Can't think of much worse than being stuck on a big outing with someone it turns out you can't stand. |

Good point.
Maybe a theme park once I have decided I want to fuck them, then! |

Take her on a safari trip, and by that I mean going out spotting all the different species of majestic animal print fleeces out in the wild.
In all seriousness though I'd say it depends on how much you've got to know about her to give you a feel for what she might enjoy? Drinks is a safe bet, maybe a nice bar where they have an open mic night on or something? |

Some guys have no idea!!!, c’mon.
So I was talking to a girl on tinder, without making it obvious I found out what music she liked, what wine she liked and what her ideal day was, a day in the country was her reply.
I went up into the hills the night before our “date”, hid a bottle of her favourite wine along with two wine glasses, nibbles and such.
Went on our first date the next day and walked in the country, guess what???, I just stumbled upon her favourite wine with 2 sealed glasses, turned my portable mini music player on and Voila!!! her favourite music played.....I got well rewarded!!!! Result. |

Similar to myself mate. I was chatting to a girl on Tinder and found out her fav tune, drink and place.
Went on our first date and guess what? I had a great time fingering her in Lidl's while she drank Vimto and listened to Bruno Mars. |

Just grab a drink someone decent if you’ve never met her face to face before (internet dating).
Go somewhere that has scope for extending into more drinks or dinner though. Check out some venues in case it goes well.
A quick drink first is always great because either of you can bail if you’re not into it. If you make a big song and a dance it’s proper awkward if you decide you’re not into them. The second date is the real first date with app dating imo. |

Ice skating followed by a nice hot chocolate from the vending machine in A&E |

That’s why I’d always go somewhere where range lady was more comfortable on the first date |

Wellies on and go puddle jumping.
Make memories..
Seriously.
Id suggest...bowling first..then simple plain meal nowt fancy .. dont want the food to be more yummy then yourself.
2 drink rule...
And separate ways after the kiss.

"The idea of an arcade sounds fun, air hockey, pool"
I own a 5ft air hockey table and had loads of fun playing on it.
The ladys are really competitive playing it.
Thanks for the reminder gonna unpack it and have a few games on it again.
crazy golf sounds a little bit of fun.
theres ice skating.
But id let her choose what the date event would be. |

So many terrible ideas here. No bowling, no games, no theme parks and especially no food ( unless you know what the girl wants). There are a lot of girls who would not allow to be seen eating on first date with someone they don't know.
Go for a coffee. Either to sit down somewhere or to a take away with a walk somewhere nice. This way you can focus on each other only and not on distractions. Of course you need to know how to hold a conversation and no awkward silence.
it's simple and if you don't like each other, you can end the date quite quickly. |
