Just watching 'the royle family' while chatting to jamiehants saying how many things on it mimic growing up in the 90s.

reminiscing about things from time gone by we miss..

I miss the deep fat fryer chips... hella unhealthy but tasted divine

What do you miss that brings a smile to your face?

Life before the iPhone.

You only have to pass an apple store to see mindless drones unable to communicate without salivating over a square piece of plastic like their life depended on it.

The dumbing down of the human race.

I miss wild payday weekends. Leaving work early on a Friday and heading straight the pub to start 3 days of partying, clothes shopping, lunching...I don't really miss the following 3 weekends being absolutely skint again!

It's funny this thread came up as I've been reminiscing with a friend all night about the same thing. I even managed to log into MySpace earlier and get some of my really old pictures!

Nah, unfortunately not, I think he got pushed out didn't he ? I did have some right oddball friends though, I don't even know who half of them are!

Wirral

I miss being able to accept a drink from a stranger without wondering if it's spiked.

I miss getting hammered and blearily prising my eyes open the next morning to see who I'd ended up bringing home.

I miss the sense of invulnerability that only the young have.

I miss the crazy energy of life just starting with all its unlimited possibility - the sense that anything and everything is possible, and anything I want is there just waiting for me to grab it.

I don't miss the folly of my youth, the naivete of blind faith, the extravagant and self-indulgent mood swings, the sense of fear that with so much possibility and so many choices I'll choose wrong and fuck up my entire life. I don't miss feeling like I had so much to prove, desperately trying harder and harder in an effort to achieve material success and keep up with my peers.
