I’ve just this second been looking at them and my son didn’t believe it was Venus. Venus is usually quite visible out of all the planets.

Newcastle upon Tyne

Yesterday evening the moon and Venus were a bit further apart, and the moon a little closer to new. My walk home from the Metro caught them at the right time to see the whole disc of the moon lit very dimly by earthlight. Beautiful.

It was very nice to see them together tonight.
