To be brutally honest I lost my mam last year, aged 51, pretty much instantly through cancer, as much as I love her to bits, it was the nonchalance and the utter lack of empathy and support that put my nose out of joint, in the 12 months that followed I was going through jobs as if they were kitchen cloths, everyone says things happen for a reason and I truly believe I've been placed into the right role for the right reasons

It will happen stick at it, trust me, I was in a head spin for 12 months, no direction, I found my feet, I'm sure you can do the same no question

I certainly hope so. Maybe I need a stop gap until the right one comes along

That's on you, everyone's situation is different, I certainly wouldnt advise to quit your job without another lined up, for me I did just that, the stop start nature over 12 months, I feel just brings constant headaches "

Well I’m not quitting..... I’ve already lost my job thanks to redundancy

"Left a sales job sick of lining fat cats pockets..

Now I do the same for a front running cancer organisation, best thing I've done!

Absolute legend! This is exactly how I feel about what I do!!

Wish I could do the same as you, any help appreciated of course lol

To be brutally honest I lost my mam last year, aged 51, pretty much instantly through cancer, as much as I love her to bits, it was the nonchalance and the utter lack of empathy and support that put my nose out of joint, in the 12 months that followed I was going through jobs as if they were kitchen cloths, everyone says things happen for a reason and I truly believe I've been placed into the right role for the right reasons

I’m sorry for your loss. People keep telling me everything happens for a reason, but not sure what that reason could possibly be right now!

Nah I appreciate it, by no means were I fishing for sympathy, id genuinely rather chew bricks than have to fish for kind comments, just wanted to give context in why I am now in a job I sincerely love

No I completely get that mate! I’ve been through a lot of shit the last couple of years and really don’t want to continue doing things I dislike

Change it up! Theres horses for courses as they say for everyone, from what we've discussed you've had similar setbacks, so you can genuinely care and connect theres opportunities for you for sure

Just trying to find the right one!!

Never quit on anything! Whether your 21 or 61, white or black, gay or straight, never give up, I'm no do gooder believe me, but I had my blackest moment last year, it weren't meant to be, but look where I am now, trust me I were a cynical so and so only last year, things can change for the better!

There should be a law against making princesses get out of bed and go to work

I am no quitter, but I really feel I need to move away from what I’ve just been made redundant from! As a whole, it’s poisonous and people get shafted left right and centre!!
