So is the latest drama down to her you think? As they will split from the royal family on the 31st of march? I dont think harry have much or any say in this. I didnt know that she is now a princess apparently she became it when she married him. |

I think people should leave them alone and stop speculating. None of us know the woman and it's beginning to look to me like outright nastiness being shown towards her.
What is the real problem that people have with her? Her nationality, her race, her personality? Why do people care what goes on in their marriage and what the dynamic is? |

"At the end of the day, does it really matter? They are a happy couple, end of. "
Are they? Who actually knows.
As much as I detest conspiracy theories etc... I find it very easy to relate them to a previous relationship where I was absolutely controlled by my ex. "We" officially wanted whatever she wanted. I'm also ginger, and get accused of looking like him at times, so makes it surprisingly easy to overlay my lived experience onto them, no matter how little I know / care about them in reality. |

No I haven't. Someone asked me a similar question yesterday, it seems I'm missing out on some important "news". |

Not sure what the Daily Mail has to do with it?
However, a youngish couple with a baby, I hope they love each other and enjoy life. Time will tell. |

Exactly, we do what we have to to make each other happy. If this will make them happy then fair play.
Of course there is the other option that no one likes and thinks you shouldn't say, which is one is manipulating the other, but none of us would know that, but if it is the case it will unravel eventually. |

As it will with all couples.
It's interesting that people quite often see it as a bad thing of a man moves to a destination associated with his wife but a good, loyal thing if the situation is reversed. Women are controlling, men make decisions that are good for the family. |

I hope they are happy whatever they do.They have decided they don't want to be part of the royal family and yet still want to use the word royal on their website, saying that the Queen doesn't 'own' the title. They cant have it all ways |

Many male friends over the years met girls who wanted to change them. New hairstyle, new clothes style, separating them from their friends and when it all goes belly up the men revert to their old friends and ways.
It's as if some women treat men like their own Barbie doll. I like women who accept me for what I am. |

All we see is what the newspapers say.
If you had a wife that was constantly being bullied by someone would you want her to be in that environment. I think Harry has done what he has to do to keep his wife safe and happy.
He's learnt what the papers did to his mother |

I don't see her being bullied. Unfortunately, when you're in the public eye, there will be a certain amount of negativity and no, I don't think it's right.

It's odd that people are still criticising her despite recent events with Caroline Flack and the huge backlash there was against press and social media "bullying". |

I’ve been a republican since a teenager. I don’t dislike royals as individuals though.
When you compare the press coverage of M and Kate, some really worrying differences emerge.
They did the right thing, and I hope they’ll be happy.

You think the treatment Kate has is at all comparable to Meghan? If you're not aware, then it's very eye opening. This whole thing is very far away from a "typical" "normal" amount of celebrity tabloid gossip. |

I mean any proof. Not theories or assumptions or just "I don't like her, its all her fault""
I see no one responded to this, pretty much because the answer is no, theres not. Too many people reading the daily fail and caring about something that has no bearing on their life whatsoever |

There was a video doing the rounds comparing things that Kate and Meghan have done the same and it highlighted the way the press headlines & words used at the time..... Kate was always praised, yet Meghan does similar and she’s ridiculed

Life is pretty tough at the best of times, yes they have the trappings that go with it, but it really needs to be remembered that they are human first and foremost.
One made the choice to join that circus, the other born in to it. One wants to change their mind, the other wants to change their life.
Bravo to Harry for sticking by his lady and how lovely for her to be showing him a life that rescue him from a life where effectively he is to William, what Andrew is to Charles, a bit part,an also ran trapped into a role that is the substitute that never gets minutes on the pitch, but is on the bench because they need a seat to fill.
Good for you both Megan and Harry, don't let them grind you down. |

Of course, but that one seems to get the most stick. I can't say I have never read it as I have to read links that people post , like anything that is reported I don't know if anything I have read is true or not. However, some things that people have sneered at that was reported in the News has been proved right, so some media must get it right some times |

Kate used to get a lot of stick, when she first came into the Royal family and I was unsure about her. However I think now she does a great job and is a great ambassador for the Royal family, she chose to marry into.Meghan , too, decided to marry into the Royal family and someone should have been advising her, what that may entail, so it's good they've gone and done their own thing |

Quite right. I don't think Harry really saw his life as a working royal, even before Meghan came along, so hopefully they will be happy, but they have to do it without the financial support of the royal family, which I'm sure they are capable of doing

"I hope they are happy whatever they do.They have decided they don't want to be part of the royal family and yet still want to use the word royal on their website, saying that the Queen doesn't 'own' the title. They cant have it all ways " I hope for the same and yes they cant have everything and as well having body guards will still be very expensive to have. |

"I think people should leave them alone and stop speculating. None of us know the woman and it's beginning to look to me like outright nastiness being shown towards her.
What is the real problem that people have with her? Her nationality, her race, her personality? Why do people care what goes on in their marriage and what the dynamic is?"
I think people care because she married an institution - the royal family. One would expect that she was forewarned about what that entailed and what said institution expected from her.
It’s not really an institution you just resign from - yet that’s exactly what she’s done - and taken Harry and Archie with her. After the Andrew debacle the monarchy was already weakened - and she’s put it at critical point!
I’m a royalist in that I believe the Royal family bring a lot of tourism, kudos etc into this country - and its hard not to admire a woman who chooses to work at 93.
If Meghan couldn’t handle the pressure/restrictions then she shouldn’t have married into it - simple!
I think she simply realised that being an English princess is very different from the American dream/ideology - and now the country is paying the price! |

dont really care, and the news on this is boring, takes away other World news headlines"

"All we see is what the newspapers say.
If you had a wife that was constantly being bullied by someone would you want her to be in that environment. I think Harry has done what he has to do to keep his wife safe and happy.
He's learnt what the papers did to his mother
I don't see her being bullied. Unfortunately, when you're in the public eye, there will be a certain amount of negativity and no, I don't think it's right.
You think the treatment Kate has is at all comparable to Meghan? If you're not aware, then it's very eye opening. This whole thing is very far away from a "typical" "normal" amount of celebrity tabloid gossip. "
That's my point.
There was a thing I saw that had comparisons and basically everything Kate did they took as a positive when Meghan did it then it was a negative.
People are cruel and like to bully and berate others |

As someone who never reads the Daily Mail, and their ilk, this was a massive eye-opener. Pretty shocking stuff. |

I believe we’re paying the price in that she’s (or rather the situation) has weakened the royal family - and I think the ‘format’ will have to change in order for it to survive future generations.
We have undoubtedly the most ‘famous’ and respected royal family in the world - and I feel that has been put under threat to a degree.
Without our royal family - especially after Brexit - we’d be just another European destination with a lot of history - and as Brexit will no doubt make it more complicated for our European neighbours to visit - they may just not bother and go to another European capital instead.
Now I’m not saying it would be a major catastrophe - but I think it might well have an effect on tourism. |

I think with other stuff going on in the family they aren't doing the Royal family a lot of good. They need to streamline the family to just those in close direct line to the throne. Albeit Princess Anne does a lot of duties. |

I think if the royal family can survive an abdication they can survive this. As an institution they will always, always act to protect that. They'll cut off the weakest and damaged branches without a second thought and get their very well oiled propoganda machine cranked up to ensure their survival.
The monarchy needs to change, it needs to be proactive rather than reactive but unfortunately it's so set in its ways it lags about 20 years behind public opinion. |
