I've always used butter, never margarine, feel rather smug these days as it's become more widely known and accepted that butter is good and margarine is bad

We’ve stopped buying butter. Instead we buy double cream and I make my own. It’s so much nicer than shop bought. I actually made some just yesterday.
I started making butter when I bought a couple of litres of cream from a market which were stupidly cheap, about a quid a litre. I’d read online ages ago that it was easy to make so decided to give it a go for that price. |

Longley farm Jersey butter, it’s hard as iron yet the taste is stunning.
Useful weapon when some little old gran try’s to nick things out of your supermarket trolley.

Proper salted butter is the food of the gods!
I always have it in the fridge for cooking - but I've had to stop buying bread products because I cant stop eating it
