Ok, so my main profile doesn't show any face photos and yet I get so many messages telling me how gorgeous and sexy I am. I could look like a member of the addams family for all anyone knows and yet they still call me gorgeous. I don't get it and it just feels so meaningless. Am I putting too much thought into this? |

It IS meaningless...generally a cut and paste message that’s sent to every female within a 200 mile radius...don’t take it personally and don’t take offence...take everything on here with a huge pinch of salt....just have fun and good luck |

yep agree with you too many men will say anything to get what they want nothing wrong with paying a compliment etc but most of the time it's mostly crude and this ruins it for those genuine ones

Yep, so many guys seem to think a woman will drop her knickers in response to an empty, generic compliment. It sometimes feels like they don't credit us with any intelligence at all

You’re not overthinking this OP. A compliment can’t be worth anything if it can’t be sincere.
I say you upload a picture of a member of the Addams family so people either don’t use the compliment so loosely or you can ask them if they’re referring to said member of the Adams family when they do.

I think someone can have a gorgeous body. They can have a gorgeous bum. They can have a gorgeous face and, indeed, many other parts.

Not surprisingly I'd prefer you to look like Kelly Brook than Bernard Manning, but my point is you have enough shown in your gallery for the term "gorgeous" to be completely legit. If you then displayed a face that looks like Pauline ftom The League of Gentlemen then I'm sure we'd take that into consideration, but I doubt that's the case and it it doesn't change the fact that the rest of you is top notch and that's all we can see. I personally think somebody telling you that you ate gorgeous is completely justified on given visuals.
That's not to say that copy/pasters have anything of value to offer, but I personally can imagine at least some people write it because they mean it and I don't blame them.
If you are worried that you might look like Lurch then if you like PM me a face pic and I'll give you my opinion on the complete works.

I've probably messaged about 3 women in a year so probably not beat placed to comment here but like said above there are loads of arse licking compliments on the forum blatantly aimed to flatter someone into bed.
Intrigued to know what a guy is supposed to say to a pictureless profile tho on here. There are loads without face pics or body pics and with minimal bios which often have multiple veris (often in double figures). Quite often demanding a face pic just to get a response. Personally I just assume they're fake and move on as even if they are legit it's defo double standards! |

That's not so. What I believe most are saying, and certainly what I say, is that the compliments we get when we are showing nothing of ourselves are so insincere it's ridiculous. And I really mean showing nothing, I've received messages saying how gorgeous I am when I have zero pictures visible.
I also receive messages saying how great my profile is and then they go on to ask or say things I've specifically said I don't like, revealing that that haven't even read the first few lines.
All we're saying is treat us with respect, stop the scattergun C&P approach to messages.

In the event of no pics then saying it would be weird, but some men think your body is gorgeous and someone tried to compliment it.
I find it's very difficult to gain a response from most women on here. It's hard to gauge what they want from a first message.
Some want polite conversation, about yourself etc,
Some like humour,
Some like filth.
Determining which each individual wants seems tough.
Also, I've noticed women with very naughty profiles wondering why men get filthy with them....
