I know the weather is crap with no immediate end in sight. While my heart goes out to anyone affected by flooding, I like this time of year, simply for the hope. Early signs that Springtime is not far away - lighter mornings, some fresh green in the hedgerows and a few Daffodils. Also, Chelsea beat Spurs at the weekend and that always lifts my spirits.

I prefer it from around the end of March when you can see the buds coming out on the trees and hedgerows and the air has that early spring smell to it
