Schools closed, cars stuck on road with not much snow, what happened to chin up and carry on. Years ago life carried on. People pulled together and helped. Cars are modern these days but can't travel in a bit of snow, and drivers dont know how to drive in snow, (not their fault). Gggrrrr.
Rant over.
Now, ideas on how to spend a snow day stuck at home with children. |

"Lots of cars on the road.
Lots of cars without adequate tyres.
A FWD with winter tyres will outperform a 4x4 on summer tyres. "
I can drive on bald tires in anything. It's up to experience and how well you can drive my friend. |

Pulling together? Don’t make me laugh. Every single person is out for themselves today.
I had a person offer me out (my two kids in the back of my car) this morning all because he couldn’t wait 10 seconds while I manoeuvred my car in the snow.
He was about 50 had his wife and son in the car too. He ended up throwing snow at me and wheel spinning away.
Idiot. |

I actually think it’s putting the wrong tyres on your car which prevents people driving in the snow. Budget brands are just that. Budget and terrible. Summer tyres in winter, bambi on ice has more grip. |

"just rain down south, we never get good snow like we did in my childhood, used to love snowball fights and sledging"
Same here. Everything grinds to a halt these days too. Never used to be like that |

The issue with driving is the idiots who are no good at clutch control, think brute power and speed will get them places safely and who don’t give others ample space. |

Exactly. And decent winter tyres really help. I am well and truly snowed in though. My car cant get through the drifts |
