Peeps are waking UP ,

we have to many Idiots in to many high positions ,( In all walks of life )making stupid decisions ....they need to sort themselfs out or move over

apparently barclays had a protest vote to...but still won but by a much reduced margin....but even if they loose they can still press on and take the pay...the votes are not binding

shareholder votes count for nothing, the board still do what they want, they just have to realise, they try to raise funding for a project, are the shareholders going to bail them out? thats why they have offered higher dividends for next year.

BLATENT bribery and could be seen as corrupt....they shouls change the law and make a shareholders vote binding upon a board...as technically shareholders are thier employers xxx

It depends on the rules of the company. Some shareholder votes are binding but they usually call for a large majority to make them so

The shareholders can sell their shares in the company anytime ,if they feel strongly enough about the decisions of the board , thats the only way to get attention
