Bayfield making the assumption that uncle eddie has a sense of humour is a big stretch.....

the question is right though... if i see elliot daly at 15 and i am murray or sexton, that ball is going up in the air a lot early and often!

it wouldn't suprise me is joesph plays 15 and daly ends up on the wing....

"

Do you think ford at 10 and farrell at 12 works?"

we might as well call the rest of this thread "backs chat".. my wheelhouse (former 12/13)

right... ford is more creative at 10 then farrell, farrell for all his faults is a much better defender.. so can see why you play him at 12... and you can push manu out to 13... otherwise you have manu at 12 and slade at 13, which for as good as they are going forward... defensive wise they would give me the willies....

plus playing youngs, ford and farrell would give you kickers at 9, 10 and 12... but you don't really need ford in there if daly is there....

"It’s a good way to end the first half for England "

Hate to say it - England playing well - forwards and backs combining really well to put Ireland under massive pressure in every position .

Got to be happy with that. England physically dominant. Ireland all at sea.

Agree: England dominant; Ireland seemingly unable to deal with a cross-field kick

Yes, but I’d still rather see Dombrandt or Simmons at 8

Ireland haven’t got a clue. I expect they’ll get a massive bollocking and come out a better side in the second half. England dominant in every element of the game so far.

He probably figures he has another year to sort it and 3 more years for whoever takes over the see it through the 2023

Nicely done, England (tho’ a bit ropey in the last 10mins...)

Ireland: wasn’t your day, was it?

Better team won,Ireland just did't turn up better basics more physical & wanted it more on the day.

Sexton & Murray need replacing good as they are think they are past their best now.

Dombrandt has, apparently, been told he's not fit enough....hopefully he'll address that as he certainly has potential!

Simmons was told he's too light for No 8....and yet EJ is trying to turn Curry into a Simmonds....can't figure EJ out sometimes!

Still, as long as we keep improving I'll be happy

Yes! It’s baffling. And we also need to start blooding in a 9 that stands a chance of playing in the next World Cup.

I’m hoping that bagpipes and the proclaimers will be out in celebration in two weeks time!

But France are looking well organised at the moment so it’s probably not going to happen.

No matter what happens I’ll be happy with France’s tournament. Far from perfect but so much more enthusiasming than anything we’ve seen over the past several years.
