Ive kickboxed in my early teens then started again in my 20s and transitioned to mma at 30. I entered afew comps but as ive got older i just really dont like hitting people so quit mma cage fighting. I use it in the gym now and occasionally do the odd class with kids in self defence at the gym. |

One karate and ju jitsu when I was younger. I've done a little boxing too. Only ever had 1 official fight. I did win but finding the time for training properly is the hardest part. |

When I was a mere slip of a lad(16) I got to the heady heights of owning a red belt and because my step mother was useless I also owned a pink karate suite which was no doubt the reason I stopped going.
Never forget one training session when the teacher brought in a boxer to train with us and no one could get anywhere near him because he was so fast.

A long time ago.
Did Shotokan Karate in my teens and kickboxing in my mid-20s. Also did Keysi’s Fighting Method (elements taken from Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Penchak Silat and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu) at the same time as kickboxing, but that’s defunct now as its developers went separate ways; now exists as Keysi and Defence Labs under each respective founder, or at least it did when I last looked. |
