Is vaping still smoking?

I consider it to be so, just a different form.
Still comes with nipping outside for a puff, still comes with cravings and possible mood swings, and I imagine (really guessing) it still comes with the taste change in semen or chuff that people say they can sense from those who smoke from the nicotine in your body.
So yes, I class vaping as smoking. Also chances are probably half if not more of those that vape will stick a fag in their gob a matter of minutes after they've parted company with their meet anyway, and have merely vaped for the duration of the meet.

Vaping is a Nicotine replacement device, just like a nicotine inhaler or chewing gum or patches.
Someone who vapes no longer smokes as smoking is combustion and it leads to the release of carcinogens vaping does not.
No one has ever moaned about the way I smell now as a vaper, compared to how I used to as a smoker. |

Given that "vape" is not "smoke" technically it's not smoking - I vape but don't list as a smoker but do tell prospective meets that I vape fairly early on and allow them the choice.
Vaping is also not treated the same as smoking by the medical profession (my GP actually encouraged me to continue if it keeps me off ciggies - which it has for nearly 4 years now) so again it's not smoking.
It doesn't come with the associated lingering bad smells or tastes of smoking - so again not smoking in my book.
Yes it's a habit, but that's about the only connection between the two things |

I'm calling out the vapers who think it doesn't smell.
Granted it's not as heavy or lingering as cigs but it's VERY unpleasant to be sitting near to a vaper.
Question: Is there vaping styles/etiquette? My vaping friend emits the biggest fooking clouds. Some don't seem to create much vapour... why? |

The only thing in vapes that is potentially harmful is the nicotine, and that's not very harmful at all. Nicotine exists naturally in many food items - tomatoes in particular. If you follow the reasoning of some, sniffing a pizza makes you a smoker. As for the other ingredients in vape solutions, the same applies - sniff any foodstuff and you're inhaling the same things. People struggle to give up smoking - those who insist that vaping is as bad as smoking are just causing more problems and worry for those already having a hard time. It seems quite typical of some humans who just want to put others down to make themselves feel better about their own inadequacies. |

Depends on the device they are using - likewise with the smell it depends on the flavour.
There are some for who the bigger the cloud they create the better though
As for etiquette - as a vaper I'm aware that people don't want to be engulfed in huge great clouds of it and am therefore as conscious as I can be of not inflicting it on people as I was as a smoker - I also find it quite easy to go without vaping when I have to, which is not something I could say about when I smoked |

That is purely down to the device they are using. |

I always think this question gets a bit muddied on here. I'd say it was in two parts - is vaping as bad as smoking health-wise and is vaping as bad as smoking meet-wise?
The issue with meeting smokers is generally that people don't like the smell/taste on them and you don't get those with vaping. Totally legitimate for people to say I find it an unattractive sight, don't like the vapour etc but there's less point stressing over what it's doing to the vaper, it's their body.
I use sunbeds sometimes and it'd make perfect sense if someone said that puts me off as I'm not attracted to your tan, but less so if they just have a moral/health objection to me doing it, why would that stop us meeting casually?
I also vape btw, seems I have a lot of bad habits ! |

It's good way to get off the cigarettes once you are at that point, then slowly cut down the nicotine amount until your not reliant on it (addicted to it)
And then stop vaping if you wish.
Pick the sweetcorn out of that lol |

I vape, I have on my profile smoker because it's nearer to smoking than none smoking in my opinion as with smoking and vaping it's choosing to inhale a substance, but I do state that I vape and not actually smoke, untill there is a option for vape I will continue to |

Regardless of what people class vapong as on here. I think it's more useful to set your profile as none smoker but make it very clear that you do vape.
Why? Because some people will meet vapers, but not cigarette smokers so they won't be searching for smokers. It's not dishonest, and it is very clear what you do.
I have obvious issues with smoking, smell and taste (though some are much more considerate about being sure they don't/minimise the effect). I generally play it on a person to person basis.
I have similar issues with vapers, but more those that are inconsiderate to others with their use around other people. |

"It's funny that on here people say thay won't meet smokers but then messages us asking for a meet when it clearly says on our profile that we are smokers.
I get the same "
Smokers do it to people who say they won't meet smokers too. Funny that eh? |

Depends how much people smoke too I guess. I probably have about 10 a week. So if I meet someone I may not have had one for 2 days so they wouldn’t even know. If I want one I’ll have one though so no point lying. I wouldn’t be keen on someone who smokes 40 a day. |

Vapour is just steam, so it follows the same rules of physics. If the ambient temperature of the room or outdoors is higher, less steam or vapour will be visibly produced. Fog and mist are vapours at different stages of vaporisation. The steam that comes from a kettle, or heating tomato soup is also vapour. These do not contain particulates like burning tobacco does. This is the harmful part for others. |

I've left smoker on my profile even though I gave up just under 4 weeks ago. I still use a vape every now and again though, the small pencil shape one. Not the ones that emit the same amount of cloud as a steam train x |

"Just for the record - I will meet smokers or vapers. As long as they don't stink when I meet them.
I've never met anyone that smokes during sex.
Soon after maybe ..... but never during."
Smoking during sex! The health and safety and risk assessments wouldn’t be worth the hassle! |

The vapers with the huge clouds are known as cloud chasers. Some are quite extreme and it's a case of 'Look, my cloud is bigger than your cloud". However, to be fair, a lot of the mainstream vaping kit is quite low resistance these days.
You can also get eliquids that produce bigger clouds by altering the mix of the main ingredients. |
