People with childcare commitments particularly, but those without aswell.
So a fella just asked if I was free this weekend and I said ‘I don’t meet last minute’ -that, to me, meaning all weekend , he meant tomorrow or sun aft, if I know I am free I make plans days ahead be it fab or vanilla
Is it only me that’s mad thinking that asking someone on a fri for a sun is pretty ‘last minute’? I feel a weirdo now |

I suppose it depends. Sometimes we could meet on a Sunday having been asked on a Friday but we have commitments to my elderly parents and usually need a bit of warning.
I don't think you're a weirdo but neither is he. You just have different responsibilities |

Not a weirdo. Anyone with kids is likely in the same boat and what about people who work weekends or shifts etc? I know people whose shifts are planned 3 months ahead and they can only change if someone will agree to swap. You are perfectly normal in needing to plan ahead. |

Def not just you. Most people, like you, have lives that involve others, and other things than sex, so you're

To me last minute is, hi im free this evening if you fancy meeting.. asking politely about meeting in a couple of days time is acceptable request.. not saying you cant be busy already and refuse, but in my opinion its fair to ask |

I wouldn't be the slightest bit interested in meeting someone who wasn't prepared to take sometime to get to know ME!!
Yes if you've looking for a quick shag never to see them again then fine.
Build the foundations and the house will follow, maybe even not get blown away with the first burst of wind.
So no you're not weird |

We usually meet pretty last minute just because we don’t want to be the people
Letting others down when childcare falls through or our child isn’t up to being left with someone else. But you have to think about your family and commitments first and other grown ups should be understanding of that x |

No we need time to get childcare sorted and it's not easy I don't think we'd ever be able to meet on a days notice it's very last minute to us |

I would only ask last minute with someone I know well and have met a few times so I know their circumstances, but I have been known to message "you home, i'll be passing in 15?"
granted, not the greatest success ratio, but if it works (for both), last minute can be quite a thrill |

It's not last minute, I would specifically say that that language is inaccurate, but it's understandably very short notice.
I happen to be having a coffee with my son in waterstones right now. Message just came through "u both in town now, want 2 meet?". Now THAT is last minute... Sadly this sophisticated gent then immediately went offline... Not able to put his money where his mouth is! |
