Would you consider chatting (possibly leading too a meeting) with someone who's only picture on profile is them smiling smugly and giving you the middle finger gesture ??  |

Nope. I would doubt that we’d find any sociable common ground.
Although, some years back, there was a lady regular on the forums and that pretty much described her profile pic. I wouldn’t have sought to meet as we had different wants and needs, but her bold and occasionally brazen forum posts were generally thought provoking and erudite. |

Perhaps I should have said the profiler is male,although sex/gender of them shouldn't matter as everyone would be possible of posing like that,but reading replies,consensus seems to be it's a turn off  |

It depends (as it usually does with me) if the rest of their profile appealed and the message piqued my interest and the avatar was ironic in some way then it wouldn't put me off no.

Agreed. Though my sense of humour is not really aligned with the subject of the picture I'd still give them a chance of all else aligned. |

Just seen a new picture,profiler looking rather smug,with closed fist and middle finger stuck up.
I just dont see why anyone would find that an attraction in a profile picture to get your attention,in a good way  |

Because judging on face value is extremely limiting. Do I find their face attractive? Yes so I'll take a look, not holding any hopes though as its highly likely based on the pic we won't mesh well. Then I'd make further decision based on what I see in their profile and further interactions. |

It would depend on the rest of the profile and the content of the message but whoever it was would be immediately on the back foot with me but not irredeemably so |

The picture alone probabky wouldnt put me off... but people who pose with their middle finger up in pictures tend to come with a personality that doesnt attract me |

No. There have been a few of those over the years. I guess it's the reaction of someone who didn't want their pic taken. It makes them look like shit but it doesn't turn the rest of us into flies.

I’ve seen a lot more offensive (to my eyes) pictures than someone flipping the bird. The same rule would apply to anyone, if the guy was obscenely handsome then yeah I’d be up for meeting but would tell him to sort his profile out first or else don’t leave me a verification or expect one from me to show I’ve been there.  |

A no from me. I think Ive seen the same profile bloke in he’s 30s with the middle finger photo. But it’s better than the one of the man eating shit which was on here few weeks ago |
