I'm browsing cars and there's just something about red or green cars i do not like (no offense if you have a green or red car)

Are you fussy on car colour if you were buying a new one

Yes.. and it varies from car to car..

I would have a red alfa, but not a red subaru... I would have a black Ford but not actually nope.. there is no car I wouldnt have in black lol

But I would have a yellow fiat coupe or corrado g60 but not a yellow escort.

So yes it matters to me..

I think cars in those bright colours are garish. My last 3 cars have been black and the 2 before that were gunmetal. I'll probably never stray from those colours. bright colours can make an expensive luxurious car look cheap and tacky. IMO!

My last car was black and went on fire !! That was bad,

What was good though was fire bobbies turned up with uniforms/ helmets and a big red engine and put it out

I must admit though, car colour is a must ....although some cars look better in certain colours.

lol nooooooo that was the day before and because he had washed the car that day he wouldnt stop when I saw a charity car wash at the fire station so I could perve the fire bobbies.

Then I got my very own fire bobbies the next day to rescue me ( tried to rescue my car really but I like to dream they came for me )

"

They blend in with the countryside. In hot climates where the ground is scorched, like Spain, brown cars are unlucky.

(and that's a load of made up b/s lol)

The Model T Ford was only available in black as it was the cheapest paint to make.

I believe (coz I was told a long time ago by a yoda ) never to have a green car because they are unlucky and a red car because theyt have more accidents during sun rise sunset. Not sure if true But I havent had either colour.

I have had a green Mercedes, no probs

I have had a green Audi......no probs

I have had a green Volkswagen no probs

I currently have a green BMW which is a pre year 2000 model and would not swap it for a newer model at any price and again no problems to report, Now,

I have owned a Red Mazda RX7 with 666 onthe number plate with a catalogue of bad luck!!!

I have owned a silver Citroen.......bad luck.com

I have owned a red Alfa Romeo......looked amazing sat on the driveway but ask it to drive anywhere and it would cost a fortune to get it home again! yet again bad luck.

There is a pattern here I think and I don't think it has much to do with the colour of the paint.

colours I dont like in any car are

Green

mauroon

bronze

gold

However I do agree with someone above, cant remember who said it, but it does sometimes depend on the car for the colour.

We have had white, gold, brown, blue, red, beige and green cars.

So no colour has never really been a factor for us.

Most of my cars have been muted colours ... silver, gun metal grey I've have one black car and loved it but as other have said, very hard to keep clean.

My current car is a Peugeot 307 coupe convertible in a bright metallic blue. I love the colour and it's great for hiding the dirt.

I'm not too keen on bright postbox red, bronze or yellow as car colours. But just like everything else, it's just a personal preference - I appreciate some people will love those colours.

North Bristol

Our car is classic green. Only because that's the colour the one we could afford was!

It's also got walnut trim inside . We wouldn't have chosen that.

Our Polo was purple and the Megane was teal (I say green, hubby says blue lol) and the Mundeno was Silver. We don't really have a preference but I would say no to black as it always looks filthy.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Red cars all seem to have one major flaw .... the paint fades like hell! It seems the less it`s polished, the more the paint oxidises. My sister has a Vauxhall Corsa that was five years old when she sold it but it looked 20 years old because of the paintwork
