Not yet thankfully. If they looked a wee tiny bit older or different in some way it wouldn't really bother me as I wouldn't meet them based only on the pictures, but if they were totally different then nah. |

Not from here but many years ago I got talking to a girl from Faceparty (remember that before facebook existed?), she was pretty in her pics but when we finally arranged to meet for a date and I knocked on the door she was significantly larger than I had been led to believe. I wasn't an arse or anything but I knew nothing would be happening between us and politely let her down after we'd been to the cinema with some excuse or other |

How did she lead you to believe she was slimmer? |

I met somebody and she was a different colour to the person in her photos. She said that she didn’t think I’d meet her if she sent me an actual photo of her.... she was really nice, just not the blonde lady I was expecting to meet. |

I dont think you should feel guilty about it,you can only go on what you see in the pictures. It was good of you that yous still went out but there has to be an attraction therefor she shouldve had newer or clearer pictures |

All her pics were close up face shots from good angles and 22 year old me didn't twig. Not really a catfish, she just wasn't what I expected when I actually met her. |

I don't know if this counts, a kinda "reverse" catfish. A guy had been wanting a meet for a while and although he had good chat and I enjoyed speaking to him his pics didn't do anything for me (so shallow I know lol) One day I was coming over his way and he happened to call me and ask what I was up to, I thought what the hell and we arranged to finally meet for a coffee...you could have knocked me down with a feather, he was SO sexy/hot that I was lost for words most of the date (not like me)...that was 8 years ago, I am in love with him more today than ever. I sometimes think in a quiet moment what my shallowness almost cost me. Shame on me. |

Thats why i always meet people as its nice to gibe them a chance, you dont really know a person from just looking at their picture. Confidence and the way they carry themselves adds a lot to their sexiness.
Some people just look better in the flesh,i think so myself im not really photogentic i look better in person, not being cocky!

Yes we met someone from another site whose picture was so far out of date as to be laughable. He sent us a very sporty shot of a mature and youthful looking tanned man with a full head of glossy black hair. He was very late turning up to the venue, over an hour, we would have left if we hadn't ordered lunch. While we ate we joked that the very elderly guy in the corner nursing a pint was really out "date". As it turned out we weren't far wrong. When the guy eventually turned up he had completely grey hair and was a good 20 years older than his photo. Mr N went to the loo and the guy took that opportunity to take a phone call about his gas bill . We laughed all the way home and laughed a bit more when he contacted us and asked to meet again |

"I dont see the point, Do they think theyll get away with it? It just makes it really akward"
It's like internet grocery shopping. They send a substitute hoping you'll accept it but you always have the option of returning for a refund. |
