Technically, a symposia screening of Vex Ashley's ethical porn company Four Chambers films. It was hot. Two women wrestling and rimming etc in a warehouse.
But before that, Apocalypse Now. Definitely benefits from the big screen. |

"1917 - not sure "enjoyed" is the right word but would certainly recommend it - cinematography was awesome, very moving too"
I’d say that basically sums up how I felt also. I wouldn’t buy it and probably wouldn’t watch it again but I’m glad I watched it at least once. |

I'd watch it again - the hesitation of using "enjoyed" was more around the subject matter and there are some films that "enjoyed" just doesn't seem right (Schindlers List being a good example) |

"1917. Only film I have ever been where there wasn’t a peep from the audience and then when it ended ever one left in pretty much total silence.
Fantastic film. "
Same happened when I saw it - normally as soon as the credits start people start heading for the door - was a good few minutes before anyone did after that |

I haven't seen 1917, but the effects on the audience you describe after its end, reminds me of an identical scene at the end of another film.
It was A Star is Born, with Barbara Streisand & Kris Kristofferson, in the 1970's. The film finishes with her powerful singing some song, building to a crescendo and as her last notes fade away, the screen goes blank, then the credits roll.
Silence! No-one in the packed auditorium moved even as the lights came on. But plenty of people were dabbing their eyes, including many guys, each claiming, "got something in my eye!" |

Just watched 'The Invisible Man' today, first time at the cinema for over 10 years!
Kind of goes with the no one meets weekend thread
Thoroughly enjoyed it, so would recommend it, nothing what I expected and no it is not a remake as I had expected it to be |

Supposed to be very good. Done by writer of Saw, Insidious and directed Upgrade which was cool too. |

"The Gentleman. Dont usually like Hugh Grant but was pleasantly surprised...excellent film."
Yes. I thought it was his best since About a Boy. Not a big fan of Guy Richie I thought this was his best too. |

"The Invisible Man. A bit far fetched but enjoyed it.
How would you rate it on the horror scale"
I’d say it was more thriller than horror... but lots of jumps/scares etc, if that’s what you enjoy |

Cats, don’t judge. I walked out after 10 minutes and left my daughter and her friend to watch it whilst I sat at the entrance and had a Costas.
Second film I’ve ever walked out of in my life. First was Sweeny Todd. |

1917
Wow what a movie to experience on the big screen. At the top of my list for best cinema experiences. My heart was racing and eyes were tearing up at the end. |

I had to walk of Love Simon with my son. I don't think he knew what it was about.
Don't blame you with Cats. The ok bits in it are few and far between. |
