The Royal Blue hotel in Dubrovnik (Croatia) on the Babin Kuk was a bit nice, 5 star luxury room with a balcony overlooking the Adriatic, rooftop infinity pool, everything marble and spotless

RAF club, it’s for officers and their families only. It’s brilliant. Central London top service, low cost.

There are some lovely less known places to stay in London. We normally stay at the Fox club in Mayfair. Private club with only about 10 rooms and a great bar. Also very reasonable rates

Hard days Night in Liverpool, loved the hotel, but the staff weren't too clever when we returned from clubbing at 0530 and had to bang fists on door to get let in. But was all good

For airport hotels I think the Sofitel at Heathrow T5 is great.

My top 2 stays are Powerscourt Hotel & Spa in Dublin and the Mandarin Oriental in Prague

Presidential suite at the Grand Hyatt hotel Taipei for customer service, Viceroy L'Ermitage Beverly Hills for the actual room and food. And a special mention has to go to the former concierge manager at the Four Seasons Beverley Hills for personal service

4 Seasons in Bahrain was outstanding as was the Gulf Hotel. Anyone looking for a nice break in Scotland should try the Barony Castle Hotel outside Peebles. Nice, discreet and romantic place - and very reasonable.
