"So fess up time, what been your worst fashion faux pas. What can still make you shudder and blush.
Mine would be the emerald green shell suit from 1984 "
Definitely stacked shoes and flares in the early/mid 70s |

Wish I kept all my old clothes. Had loads of silky Adidas bottoms, ones with luminous stripes, Sergio Tacchini zip tops.
The only thing I kept from when I was a teenager is my grey Russell athletic hoody cos I love it. |

"Adidas popper’s back in the day although they have come back out :/
Or the blue eye shadow with glitter look. Ouch
Omg. Blue body and face glitter "
Yep glittered mascara, purple or blue eye shadow, going to the hairdressers to get your hair put in twists, or get them massive platform trainers, like the spice girls wore...
Classy |

Sorry without meaning to sound rude, but I thought the shell suit was still a staple fashion item in the Liverpool area ? |

Classy"
Fortunately I wasn't confident at that age and this was only on special occasions.
By comparison the 2XL or 3XL baggy T-shirts on my size 8 frame were positively posh |

Never been one to follow trends so pretty sure I’m always making them. When I was in my vintage clothing phase I wore a t skirt suit that looked awful on me. Colour was totally wrong and made me look washed out, it was a beautiful suit though x

I find it interesting, if a trend is in long enough, my sense of style sort of adjusts. Like bootcut was totally normal and now it looks baggy because skinnies have been in forever? |

I guess we all do to some degree. Hated bootcut as have such short legs even petite looked wrong on me. Skinnies I embrace, haha, just add my new rocks and I’m happy xx |

I finally accepted skinnies this year. Before that I felt bootcut balanced out my thighs with my calves, because there's a noticeable difference. |

Probably when I was decked out in Eclipse gear in the early 90's thinking I was an absolute badman, but then again some of the stuff I used to wear when I first started going out on town is cringe to look back on.
I also got quite into the whole Cyberdog/crasher kid raver look for around four years in the early to mid 00's. It gets laughed at now but was a lot of fun at the time! |

Blue eyeshadow and pastels are making a comeback. Be afraid. |

Fashion is a faux pas... Wear wtf you like the look of, whether it's fashionable or not and you will never regret it! Dressing so other people don't look down on you is utterly pointless |

I used to deliberately commit them, hated the obsession with fashion, labels, trends and hate being told what to wear etc.. I was obviously known for this after a while. So when I was invited to an ultra fancy pre wedding do at a posh hotel, I was given a very strict dress code Tux, Waistcoat, Bow Tie, Cufflinks etc..... All they said for footwear was no boots or trainers... So I Spray Painted my feet gold, and went barefoot! |
