Got a few photos of me with the Hayseed Dixie band.
Met Phil Campbell out of Motorhead with his new band.
Met Lemarr, shook hands and chatted at the same charity ball I met most of the Corrie cast as it was about 9 years ago, danced to Gangnam Style with Catherine Tyldsley.

David Seaman. He was my idol at the time, I had the full 96 goalkeeper kit and used to do my hair like his when i got out the bath
I used to follow him around marks and spencers in Rickmansworth when i was about 6 as you used to see him there quite often. Nan had a shop a couple of doors down from a tackle shop he used to frequent alot also.
Richard Hammond, he did a series a while back called 'Should I worry about" this was the episode on mobile phones. Alot of the footage was shot at my school. Friend asked for an autograph and Hammond told him to fuck off |

John Mclaughlin - jazz guitarist, chatted for a long time, had a meal at a restaurant & he let me pick his musical brain for an hour or 2. (I knew the guy that managed the venue he was playing)
Paddy Consadine, approached and chatted to him while he waited for a train.
..the same with John Thompson from the fast show..he was waiting for a train, so i decided approach him and chat for a bit.
Prob loads of others

Were they nice? Bet they were."
Paddy Consadine is very nice/laid back..
I've spoken to him before as he has a band that he sings in, that my friend's band opened for.

They are, but I think it's ok to be a bit excited over meeting someone you admire. I wouldn't be fussed over bumping into someone off TOWIE for example... but Nelson Mandela?! That gives you some bragging rights |

Most of them were just normal people before they became celebs, and still view themselves as normal, and like to be treated as such....
There are exceptions of course..... who expect special treatment.... |

One of my friends went to LIPA, which is a music university Paul Mccartney set up in Liverpool.
My friend took "music composition" as his main course - then Mccartney visited & had one on ones with the students.
He listened to my friend's songs & gave him advice on how to make certain improvements etc.
At the end my friend said: "Thanks for coming down." & " Mccartney replied "No, thank you.. -For playing me YOUR music.."
-He always seemed like a very friendly fellow, so it doesn't surprise me.

Only Ritchie Nevell from 5 springs to mind.
Gave me a nose bleed lol.
He was living locally and came to play rugby a couple of times at my local club where I was captain.
Really nice guy actually. Very down to earth.
He'd just finished doing that farm programme. The one where Rebecca Loos wanked off a pig lol

Used too (sometimes still do) work as a waiter at a decent-ish place. Various foreign and domestic politicians, cricket+football players and Olympic swimmers.
Ofc proffesional courtesy means I gave them space. Really not too fussed either, they are normal people who have done extraordinary things at the end of the day. |

I was also a school kid In KZN.... He wasn't president yet.... 6 months or so after his release. He was so serene and chilled out, and you kind of felt that he was emotionally and mentally on another level he left an incredibly strong impression on me. Meet Thabo too in the late 90's I helped a friend deliver some furniture to his farm and he let us fish in his river to day thanks. He is a cool guy! |

Agree he was of a different status to celebrity, National Hero to us Icon to the rest of the world.... but I'n this concept I think its fair to loosely refer to him as a celebrity |

I've met Paul Daniels.
I also bumped into Ed Miliband one time in a supermarket! The strange thing is that he asked to have a photo with me!!!
It took me a while to figure out why. The reason was that I was carrying my youngest daughter in my arms. Apparently, that's good for his image.

I’ve met loads of test cricketers, past and present including a few of my heroes such as Sir Viv and Sir Beefy.
I met Ronnie Wood at an art gallery which was displaying his artwork.
I saw Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott in Birmingham and had a post-gig drink with them.
I chatted with George Michael’s sister at one of his gigs, the one that died at Christmas. Not exactly a celeb but close enough to a mega star, once removed.
Lenny Henry held a shop door open for me. |

We were sat in a restaurant on a table next to hers; was very vocally rude about everyone until she realised we were Brits spoke to the staff like dirt.
My sister in law is an air hostess and she said Cilla was the most disliked of all the celebs; used to issue instructions through whoever was with her. Apparently David Walliams is now just as bad. |

Had a few pints with Terry Christian when I was an 18 year old!
Other than that... Chatted and drank with the entire cast of Heartbeat for a few hours whilst they were out for the bloke who played Oscar's 70th (think he died about a month ago)
Shedloads of footballers whilst out on the pop when younger (Think we can see a regular theme happening here! )
A fair few DJs. Yes I may have had a drink in my hand most of the time. Roger Sanchez, Judge Jules were two I remember, but the best craic I had was with Jez from Utah Saints some years ago.
Oh and held up the Queen whilst doing some work in Buckingham Palace (she even gave me a courteous wave and smile as I closed my van door meaning her Land Rover could crawl slowly past!)

Gave a lift to Glen Mc Crory once. Again,I had no idea who he was and only later found out he was a famous boxer.Really nice guy and thinking back,he definitely looked the part, flippin' huge muscles. |
