There's a guy on chatrooms who kept telling me he loves an older woman and referring to how he likes me, I got tired of pointing out he's 2 years older than me. I look old I feel old doesn't make me old. I'm also a big kid at heart not that many see that on here. |

If I'm older than someone, I'm older. I don't care how you say it. I really, really, really, really, REALLY dislike being told I look good FOR MY AGE though. Just tell me I look good, don't qualify it. |

Aw I feel a wee bit sorry for the OP. Not sure how else he could have said his preference. I like older men and I would just say that too.
Saying that, I agree that I don't like being called an older or mature woman but that's mainly because due to my own preference I'm not into younger guys.
Just another Fab minefield |

Yeah me too. I genuinely don't care if someone calls me an older woman as long as they aren't bloomin 85 . After all I am older than almost everyone who contacts us |

Older is as much of a positive statement as younger.
The idea that being older than something being a negativevis purely a social construction. The best way to break these superficial construct is to use the word older as a empowering and positive way - taking away the derogatory power associated with the word.
Censorship of language only perpetuates the problem

The only things that annoys me is being called a cougar. Cougar is namely a woman actively seeking much younger men - cubs
I don't actively seek much younger or much older I prefer ideally 5 year either way but depending on how much I get on with someone I sway with ages. I've met people beyond my age ranges but I haven't sought them out specifically. Then it's what makes someone the older or younger category is it 1 year 10 years? Being just a year or 2 older people commenting how much they like older but terms of average life experience without them knowing me it isn't much difference. |

It's not the fact of being older but the fetishishising about being older. Some like it some don't. |

Its Fab....most terminology used on this site should not be racist, sexist, sizeist, heightist or ageist! So whether someone references to older, younger, taller, curvier, slimmer etc if not for u, why comment? Each to their own I say.

How would you like to be described by a 40 yr old guy? Your definitely older, and maybe more mature too.
Maybe being called aged, or ancient would raise the hackles but older and mature ? |

Older is just a fact! If I'm older than anyone then let's face it - I'm older! Mature is way to subjective ... and I've met people much older than me who have never been mature
The thing is age shouldn't even be mentioned or pointed out, it's not really in life is it?
Like people just because you like them ... |

I don't mind being called older or cougar etc ( my friends have always joked calling me cougar) The words Toy boy though puts me off. Suppose we all have our likes & dislikes |
