just lost my glasses and need to get some new ones !!! so need them pretty quick !!!
just wondered if anyone new of an opticians that does same day !!!

only ones i know of are the high street ones - vision express, optical express
i think with specsavers you have to wait
with boots you definately have to wait & then they tell you that they can't make the ones you chose in your prescription
for future ref, it is always better to keep an old pair for times like this
it's better to be able to see a bit rather than see sod all ! |

I have know of a case where someone in a similar situation created a short-term replacement pair by buying two pairs of the off the shelf glasses and taking the lens from one and putting into the other. They were lucky that their prescription was within the right range but had moderately different prescriptions in either eye, hence adapting two pairs.
As a contact lens wearer I am obsessed with carrying plenty of spare pairs of daily disposables everywhere. |
