What to say? I don't even know who to believe anymore

I have 3 friends who recently had babies and the last of the 3 posted a picture on Facebook earlier and wrote about her baby being the "cutest in the whole world". The thing is, the week before that the second friend said words to the same effect under a picture she posted of her baby, and the week before that the first friend did the same with a picture of hers.

Now, I've already committed myself with the first friend by saying "awk you're right, he is just the cutest baby in the world ". I managed to scrape by without causing a stir with my comment under the second friends picture, "Awk, so cute! Definitely in the top 2 cutest babies in the world ". I dont think I can keep up this facade with the 3rd friend. I don't want to say "Your baby would make the top 3 cutest in the world", just doesnt sound right. Plus she's feisty, I could smell an argument waiting to happen there and to top it off I dont like to be predictable which is how I feel that comment would look. What I wanna say is "your fooking sprog looks just like the last 5 I've seen this month" but that would invoke defcon 4 never mind an argument!

How do I keep making tailored comments about women who have babies when they all just look like really short old men with great skin anyway?

Easy. Leave out the "in the world" context.

Or just say hope I'm single when shes 18.

I’m not sure you have to genuinely rank the womb-nuggets of your friends. They can all be equally cute little potatoes!

I come from the "Seen one, seen em all" school of thought re babies, so can honestly agree this one is best...

22?! Ouch. I used to run a 9 place baby room, that was enough! But then it was just me and two trainees...

I know! 9 is a perfect size for a baby room. 22 is just ridiculous, but then I do work for a Nursery chain, a bit more corporate.

I refuse to have trainees in a ratio and insist my girls are level or above. I'll take level 2 on the condition they undertake level 3. I was also an NVQ assessor so they have no excuse

See, you’re what every senior/manager/supervisor should be. Trainees were ALWAYS counted in ratio, as long as there was one qualified in the room, that was fine apparently

I was going to say something about saying something lovely but vague then thought Of where I am right now.

....freezing my nuts off waiting for my teenage sons' 5 a side game to start soon. He was once the cutest baby and look where getting my nuts off 17 years ago has got me now!
