"Any fellow Anglers on here?
If so, what do you Fish for and do you tie your own flies?
Trout and not anymore used to in my younger days
Gave up Fly Fishing or gave up tying, BUNKIE?"
Tying ... kinda gave the fishing up for years but dip my toe back in a few times a year |

"My dad used to tie his own flies, he took me fishing all the time but I had a wee spinner, too dangerous to let me loose fly fishing "
Awesomeness! It’s always quite nerve wracking standing beside a beginner or trying to teach someone how to cast with a Fly Rod I remember catching my Da’s cap and of course my Da himself when I was learning
I’ve had far more close calls with Spinners flying back at me when cleaked on something though! |

"Still have the odd day out fly fishing. Tied my own when I was younger but so cheap to buy now.
Helps that family have their own stocked loch "
I’m so jealous of this lol That’s one of my unrealistic dreams, to own my own Trout Fishery/Lake. Yeah, I have a good friend that sells Flies so I can get them very cheap but I tend to just tie patterns that I either can’t get or ones that are difficult to find the materials for. |

Buzz bombs ftw.
I learned to tie by my uncles.
Sturgeon, pike, salmon, trout. My best catch was a salmon that was taller than me that I could not pull in on my own. |

When does everyone’s Local Fishing Season start? Are you looking forward to opening day?
1st March for my Local Free Stretch and 1st April for Club Water. New 5wt Wychwood Rod will hopefully get christened soon! |

Em here, I love fishing, but I dont get the time anymore, I even have my very own hot pink Shakespeare rod! My dad used to take me fly fishing (mr ooo enjoys the great wrist action learned). Theres some amazing pits round here (pboro) that's got some lovely carp in, but tench and barbell are my favourite to catch on the river. |

I love all forms of fishing, especially sea fishing, but never tried fly fishing. We used to have our own boat for going to sea, some happy memories made on there too |
