Leeds

Castle Museum well worth a visit. Railway museum is free. Jorvik good but big queues so you need to prebook. A walk around the walls in spring when the daffodils are out. Boat trip. Museum gardens. Obviously a walk round The Shambles. Lots of lovely things to do in York.

To be fair, I've never had a bad day out in York. Great and beautiful place. Lots of great bars, restaurants and my mate and I found the best takeaway in the world last time we were there.
