Mostly for presenting Love Island, but there was a story about a physical fight with her bf. She got reported to the police as he was injured. It all spiralled for her from there I guess.

I think we need to put "alledgedly" around this for a few reasons...

1) she co-operated with police in whatever the incident was

2) her boyfriend wanted to drop all the charges... but it was the CPS who said no

they are saying it was suicide... who is awful to think about

I think we need to put "alledgedly" around this for a few reasons...

1) she co-operated with police in whatever the incident was

2) her boyfriend wanted to drop all the charges... but it was the CPS who said no

they are saying it was suicide... who is awful to think about

There was no alleged in it, he told the police what she had done, then changed his mind about pressing charges, she was guilty of it. It's very sad she died but let's not pretend she was perfect."

Alleged as it never went and unfortunately never will go to court. She's never was found guilty in the eyes of the law. Though I agree with she was far from perfect

It was hardly the same extent as Princess Diana.

It's not fair to put the blame on the press though, the trolls online would have been worse I imagine. She also chose to be in the public eye and enjoyed the press attention when it was positive.

As I've said, it's very sad news and my thoughts are with her family.

From previous interviews and such it seems she has had trouble with her mental health for a while.

The court case and such shouldn't have been reported until a verdict was reached.

Whilst I don't condone what she did, any loss of a life is awful

However, had it been a man about to stand trial for domestic abuse, would so many people have been so sympathetic.

The main problem was she was tried and found guilty by the media, social media, and people who read both long before she ever set foot in a courtroom.

It’s not our place to do it! And someone was hounded to the extent she took her own life.

And now both of those avenues are full of an outpouring of RIP.

Disgusting.

It wasn’t our place to try her and find her guilty and now a woman is dead. Because she saw no other way out.

Sad.

To be fair, it's not like it would come as a shock that some people have certain opinions on something. How many times have we seen unsympathetic and "shocking" comments been made in other threads. If you post something be prepared for the worst of the worst to be in the comments.

These people have every right to think the way they do, they will all have reasons (regardless of their validity) for feeling it.

CF did a bad thing, and I agree with the comment that said if it had been a guy that did it to his girlfriend then there would be much less understanding going on and less "sympathy" when he took his own life. History and similar situations world wide have proven this. Just look at the whole Jonny Depp thing.

She clearly did it because of the media coverage and straight up hateful comments (again their opinions) floating around on social media and the news in combination the likely worry and stress of what the verdict and punishment from her trial would be.

Its a shame that anyone feels the need to do kill themselves in a situation like this, especially since those actually involved had come to "peaceful" terms (at least on the outside).

You can have an opinion, and you have the freedom and "right" to share it. That doesn't always mean you should, especially when it is said in such careless and hateful ways at times.

Whatever her reason for doing it we may never know. People can look perfect on the outside, however nobody can see what's going on insides people's minds an that's where it all ones from.

I imagine being a celebrity adds even more pressure and magnifies things.
