A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

My mom called my name, not my cell phone. If my first, middle and last names were used, I knew I was in trouble

I played outside with my friends

not online. We played outside until the "steet-lights" came on, not inside all day with a video game. If I didn't eat what my mom cooked then I didn't eat

Sanitizer didn't exist, but I could get my mouth washed out with soap

I rode a bike without a helmet. When I was bad I got smacked

Getting dirty was okay! And the neighbors cared just as much as my parents did. My generation was the last to know how it was to really have fun. I drank from a garden hose as a kid and survived

You did errands for neighbours without expecting payment, just a thank you.

You walked to school or caught the bus, not transported by car to the gates

A happy meal, was what was put in front of you

A bottle of pop was a treat

Bottle of pop was shared with your mates.. each wiping (read rubbing whatever was on your hand onto the top) with his or her hand before passing it on, .. brilliant days..

Clearly my kids are deluded when they play out then, as they are not apperently having fun

Hate these on facebook with a passion, no wonder kids think adults dislike them.

And you got tuppence back on the bottle
