I have caught some nice chub in the River Frome near Bristol and the Avon at Chippenham.

Are they good sport on the Dry Fly? I’m not a Coarse Angler, primarily Fly Fisherman for Trout and Salmon but wouldn’t mind having a go at Coarse Species with the Fly.

Caught Roach and Perch on the Fly at a stocked Lake but never fished any rivers for them.

I think you would struggle on a dry fly . Maybe a wet one . Lures work too
