Where do you call home and why?

I'm from London originally but have lived most of my adult life in the North West.

I don't know if that makes me a Cockner or a Scouseney

Manchester (she/her)

I'm an adopted Mancunian. It's where I've become me. But I'm different enough that I don't belong anywhere anymore.

Born and bred scouser. Every house move I've moved closer to the city centre.

Home though, is wherever I feel safe and loved. Mainly with friends and some family x

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

Born and lived in Hull until I was 16, and apart from living in Norfolk for 2 years whilst at Civil Engineering College, I've always lived within 30 minutes of Hull.

I dont feel like I've got an actual home anymore... a flat just isnt the same as a house and home.

I've so got this

Home is where you decide it is. It can be set in stone,(or brick.) Or it can be as fluid as water.

People ask me where I call home. Here or Jamaica. I sometimes event get thick shits shouting at me to go home.

I decided Britain is my home. London is my home. I was born here. I've lived outside of london. Lincoln, leeds, Portsmouth. But in the end I came back to london. Why? Because in spite of its problem, I love London and to me, it simply feels more like home than anywhere in the world.

Hiding from twats

Born and raised in this town, but I don't really feel at home here. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents in Kirkcudbrightshire when I was little, and I've always felt more at home and relaxed when I'm back there.

Durham

Where I live now. Furthest I have ever moved to live from where I was born is 10 miles. It is such a beautiful part of the country where I live so I can't imagine ever wanting to leave anytime soon. I am surrounded by a loving family and an amazing, fun, supportive group of friends, so I love my home with all my heart.

I am Canadian and that's my forever home. Except for when I am at my second home in Truro and then my third home in Southampton.

Wherever I am Newcastle will always be home. I moved away for 9 years and it didn't change then. When I moved back it just felt right.

Essex originally, now in the West Mids. I've never really felt like anywhere was "home".

That was until I met B, and now home feels like wherever we are together. Even in a fucking travelodge it felt more homely than my house when it's just me in it.

Wherever my kids are, I've moved around a fair bit & have never felt like any town or area I've lived is 'home'

Lived all over the world, but anywhere in the UK is home... it’s how you choose to make it, not where you live.

Home is where you fit, where you can be you, feel safe and content.
