I'm a bit of a fan of Audie Murphy. A really interesting character. One of, or the most decorated US soldier in WW2. It's reckoned by some that he killed more enemy soldiers single-handedly than any other combatant. |

Yep, he was a real life hero 
My fave is John Wayne. He can do gritty cowboy films or more lighthearted cowboy films. |
