Well, our plastic bins take metal items too and I would class that little tab as foil so I've always put it in with the recycling.

Ive never bought milk in plastic id presume it was recyclable

First thing I though of when reading...my cat was just as obsessed with them we would also find dozens under the sofa

On a side note...when you pull the paper circle off, yet the little tab rips and now you have to take a knife to it....fuming!

Normal bin, along with everything else.

Our local authority makes sorting and prepping recycling stuff such a palaver we gave up entirely a few years back.
