A proposed North Sea dam would enclose the sea, linking Scotland with Norway and France with England. The sea isn't particularly deep. This would help to protect several countries from rising sea levels.

It's a statement, for discussion. It's such a pity that we'd have to go to such drastic measures as enclosing a huge area of the ocean, when we could make some significant adjustments to how we live instead.

Damming the sea would obviously alter the natural environment for millions of other animals, potentially losing some of them.

I agree, if people would make changes it might not come to ideas like this.

All the fish and molluscs would go through a rapid evolution process and climb out of the sea and expect a three bedroom house.

Erm think this is over estimating the engineering requirements and capabilities we currently have..

North Bucks

Sounds like the Man in the High Castle and the Germans Damming the Med in order to farm the resulting area.

A more feasible plan to be honest.

That sounds like a brilliant idea and i bet the Scot's would have no problem finishing the wall from the west coast to the east completing the circle while the Irish would spend every last Euro they had buying pumps to fill that bowl to the top
