I'm not so much a hopeless romantic, more hopeless at romance. The best gift I ever bought a sweetheart (or so I thought) was a glow in the dark kite that looked like a UFO if you flew it at night. She wasn't impressed - women can be strange like that. This year, I don't even know how many roses to give her - 6, 12 or the whole tin?
What's the weirdest or best Valentine's gift you've ever given or received? |

Inked brought me roses once, ran me a bubble bath, led me to the bathroom which was covered in rose petals. Fed me choccies in the bath. Pure heaven.
Asked him where he got the rose petals from. Yep you guessed it, hed hacked the heads off mine and all that was left in the vase was the stems |

So he's romantic and practical - he's a keeper |

A hedgehog figurine. No idea why, I don't particularly like hedgehogs.
The best would be a night in a wonderful hotel in the Highlands with an outdoor private hot tub. I'd had a stressful term and it was lovely to get away. |

I brought her so many different gifts for Valentines Day, each year something new and exciting. One year an iPod, then an iPhone and one year an iPad. The year I brought her an iRon wasn’t a happy year! |

"A leatherman multi tool. I remain confuddled. He was an odd bod. "
Great tools though He obviously cared deeply for you and wanted you to always have the ability to remove a stone from a horse's hoof. |

"A set of darts, with flights that had a mouse and cheese on them.
That's really random! do you play darts?
No!"
Did you ever ask him why, or was he too busy trying to escape out the door before you got a bullseye? |

I always seem to get flowers (i hate cut flowers!) or chocolates. Can’t beat a bottle of bubbly and a sentimental card with from the heart stuff written inside. I tend to keep cards and love letters, because i’m a sentimental twit, although i lost a load when i moved |

They are indeed epic.
I already had one.
He knew that. |
